Good afternoon,
Last Friday and today, posters were hung up on campus that contained derogatory statements based on sexual orientation. Students and faculty reported the incidents, and the posters were taken down immediately.
Institutionally, we are working through our internal processes to immediately address, correct and resolve this specific situation. Carroll’s policies prohibit discrimination and harassment based on sexual orientation. Please continue to report incidents
of this nature to Renee McMahon, our Title IX Coordinator.
As always, if students want to hang posters on campus, they must have approval from my office prior to posting them.
